A ponderance to me is what this means to you, interpretational conjecture of others aside.
And what of the sanity factor? Something abstract to one may be perfectly straightforward to the unconventional psyche. This has to me various possible meanings all clear as day with the reasoning just as.
To me it could be life, going for a ways and then at a point splitting off into two separate paths each going along their own way, independent of but not forgetting their origins. Or it could be a comment on the savagery of nature, clawing as it is beaten back by man kind killing anything not fit to survive, for that is its way.
It might be beauty, so fragile is the natural life found on earth, so intricate and delicate, yet persistent against the frozen background. And so many more options if not the time to speak of them.
